African Daisy

A new spring blossom just unfurling.  We are supposed to be in the 70 degree area next week.  The blooms will be coming fast and furious in the coming month. This photo was levels adjusted, I used a High Pass filter, then levels adjusted again.  I also did some dodging and burning.

Camera settings: F/9, 1/100 sec., ISO 100, focal length 41 mm.  No flash.

  1. That’s gorgeous and a very neat rather graphic effect. I LOVE the color!

  2. Theme: Film Title – Out of Africa!

That almost looks like a stained glassed design…how cool!

70’s huh, I may be knocking on your door next week! 🙂

  4. This is gorgeous – so sharp and wonderful bokeh. Oh, and there’s the fact that it is PURPLE. 😀

  5. Great effect! Very pretty…my garden is starting to bloom all over too…gotta get out there.

  6. Love the effect and composition on this Doris.

Looks like Tammy may stop by with her “Lets do lunch Bunch” I think she said she was buying.

  7. Thank you! You are all welcome to lunch!!

  8. Those colors are certainly welcome to my eyes on this raw, cold rainy day!
