Old

This grapevine is quite old and is pretty gnarled.  The canes need to be trimmed and it is in general disarray!  Processed in Photoshop Elements 6 by changing to b/w, adjusting levels and dodging and burning.  (I should be out working in the yard! :))

Camera settings: Canon EOS Rebel T1i, F/8, 1/100 sec., ISO 1250, focal length 100 mm.  No flash.

More Grapes

Still looking at new ways to show the beauty of grapevines.   This one was processed in Photoshop CS4 by adjusting levels and running through Color Efex Pro.  I applied a warm tone to the photograph and then dodged and burned the result.  I always try to match the color of the thin outline to something from the photograph itself.  I use the eyedropper tool to sample a color from the photograph and then use this color to make my outline when framing.   The evening sunlight was just peeking through the upper part of this bunch of grapes.   Hope you like it.

Camera settings: Canon T1i, F/4.5, 1/30 sec., ISO 160, focal length 30 mm.  No flash.

Grapevine And Fence

Taken in early evening, the setting sun shines through this grapevine’s leaves.  This was processed in Photoshop Elements by adjusting levels, adding a high pass filter and burning.  Have a great 4th of July everyone!

Camera settings: Canon T1i, F/6.3, 1/250 sec., ISO 100, focal length 146 mm.   No flash.
