Waiting

Sara’s Cody sitting by the sliding glass door.  He doesn’t want to go out, but he loves surveying all that goes on.  That, and sitting in the sun for hours!!  Processed in Photoshop Elements 6 with Topaz Adjust 5.  Love all the final additions in Topaz Adjust 5.  I was lucky enough to get one of my presets included in the final version.  It is called Vintage and is in the Toned Collection.

I did some white vignetting and some dodging to the image.  Camera settings: f/5.6, 1/60 sec., ISO 1000, focal length 55 mm. No flash.

Graphic Cat

I took a photo of Cody and pushed it to get this graphic result.  In Photoshop Elements 6, I used a sketch filter and tweaked the settings to get the exposure that I liked.  I burned out distracting background lighting.  The eyes were done on several layers.  The blue was applied, then the layer multiplied, lowered opacity and a hint of erasure.  I made a whisker brush and added a couple of whiskers to the left side.   Hope you like it!

Camera settings: Canon Rebel EOS T1i, F/5.6, 1/60 sec., ISO 400, focal length 55 mm.  Flash fired.

Cat On Windowsill

Though not now affiliated with any group for 2011, I will continue to post from time to time.  I hope a few of you will continue to stop by and share your thoughts.  Today, I took this photo of Cody in the window.  I took the shot by taking the reflection in the bathroom mirror.  Only natural light was used and only levels processing in Photoshop Elements 6.  Hope you all have had a great start to 2011!

Camera settings: Fujifilm FinePix S700, F/3.5, 1/120 sec., ISO 64,  focal length 13.2 mm.  No flash.

Cody Growing Up

Cody kitten is growing into a rambunctious youngster!  This photo was treated with a threshold filter and set on overlay over the original photo.  I took this hand held at 3200 ISO.  Photoshop Elements 6.

Camera settings: Canon Rebel EOS T1i, F/5.6, 1/13 sec., ISO 3200, focal length 55 mm.  No flash.

Serval

This serval was sitting in a basket in his pen at Chaffee Zoo.  I had to shoot through reeds and wire to catch this shot.  I processed with texture and used the texturizer to complete the frame.  As always, I used Photoshop Elements 6.  We had such a good time at the zoo.  It has probably been almost fifteen years since we have gone there.   We definitely should go more often!

Camera settings: Canon EOS Rebel T1i, F/8, 1//250 sec., ISO 320, focal length 250 mm.  No flash.
