Roaming through my backyard I noticed these old boards. Couldn’t be much more weathered! Processed in Photoshop Elements 6 with adjusted levels, burning and dodging.
Camera settings: Canon T1i, F/8, 1/125, ISO 100, focal length 100 mm. No flash.
This old tree shows years of exposure to weather and the ocean. This tree was found on the 17-mile drive in Carmel, CA near the Ghost Cypress. Photo was processed in Photoshop Elements by adjusting levels and adding a high pass filter. Final product was burned. I guess it is easy to see that I love trees!
Camera settings: Canon T1i, F/22, 1/80 sec., ISO 1600, focal length 55 mm. No flash.
Here is another take on the Lone Cypress in Carmel, CA. I processed in Photoshop Elements by adjusting levels, changing to b/w and then adding a sepia tone. I did a little burning as well. You can see the fog rolling over the mountains in the background.
Camera settings: Canon T1i, F/25, 1/100 sec., ISO 500, focal length 74 mm. No flash.
Eucalyptus stump with dried foliage. Took this one this evening about 8 pm. Kind of looks a little like fall. Processed in Photoshop Elements with only adjusted levels and a high pass filter.
Camera settings: Canon T1i, F/5.6, 1/100 sec., ISO 500, focal length 65 mm. No flash.
The top of this eucalyptus stump caught my eye. Processed with adjusted levels and sharpening. The different textures from both man and nature has an impact on the final product.
Camera settings: F/5.6, 1/200 sec., ISO 100, focal length 55 mm. No flash.
