Tulip

Tulips are just starting to bloom here.  I processed this in PSE6 with adjusted levels, sharpened and then high pass sharpened again.  Topaz Adjust was applied and then a layer of Smart Blur at 50% Opacity was applied over that to soften the grunge look a little.  Hope you like it.  Have a great weekend.

Kinda stretching this one as we haven’t had enough cold weather to really change the leaves on our trees much.  This photo was processed in Photoshop Elements 6 with adjusted levels, unsharpen mask and Topaz Adjust 5 Release Candidate.  This should be the last beta before the new Topaz Adjust 5 is released.  I used a custom preset of my own in processing this photo.  Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Camera settings: f/6.3, 1/100 sec., focal length 49 mm, and ISO 100.  No flash.

Topaz Adjust beta 5

Here’s another photo processed through PE6 and Topaz Adjust beta 5.  I have really enjoyed being a beta tester for Topaz and this new Adjust version is really something!  There are a ton of presets including cross process and Lomo settings, cool and warm settings and grunge settings, too!  I think that users are going to be very happy with the new version of Adjust.

Settings for this photo were: f/11, 1/60 sec., focal length 55 mm and ISO 200.

Pinecone

Just a pinecone.  This was processed in Photoshop Elements 6 with Topaz Adjust sketch.   This actually looks better enlarged I think.  I like the sketch effect as you have seen!  Camera settings: f/5.6, 1/60 sec., focal length 55 mm, ISO 160.  The air was really clear here today as it rained last night.   It is turning colder finally.  The trees are just now starting to get some color.  Doesn’t seem like Thanksgiving is only a few weeks away.

Autumn Rose

One of my last rose bushes to bloom this fall.  This photo was processed in Photoshop Elements 6 and Topaz Adjust.  I made a custom preset in Topaz Adjust to get the warm, antique-like look.  Other than that, it is just cropped and sharpened.  I had a tough time getting shots today because it was kind of windy.  Camera settings: f/5, 1/50 sec., focal length 44 and ISO 125.  I am beta testing the new Topaz Adjust 5 and love the new settings and flexibility that is built in.  It should be available soon.

New Beginnings

Green shoots come up through the leaf litter in my yard.  I’ll have daffodils by next week.  This photo was treated with an 80% opacity Topaz Adjust over original.  Then the photo was burned and finished.  All processed in Photoshop Elements 6.

Camera settings: Fujifilm FinePix S700, F/3.5, 1/50 sec., ISO 64, focal length 6.3 mm.  No flash.

Narcissus 3

Over on the north side of our house I have a cluster of narcissus that insists upon blooming in January of each year.  We have had a little sun peak out through the fog each afternoon the past few days.  Here are some of those narcissus in late afternoon light.  Processed in Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 with Topaz Adjust and burning.

Camera settings: Canon EOS Rebel T1i, F/8, 1/200 sec., ISO 1600, focal length 250 mm.  No flash.

Patio Tomatoes

This poor vine is still trying to put out little cherry tomatoes on my front porch.  I wish it had this much fruit on it when it was hot!  This was processed in Photoshop Elements 6 and Topaz Adjust spicify.  Levels were adjusted and some burning was done to the final product.

Camera settings: Fujifilm FinePix S700, F/3.5, 1/80 sec., ISO 200, focal length 6.3 mm.  No flash.

Many

Many brilliant liquidamber leaves show the signs of autumn in a local park.  Processed within Photoshop Elements 6 with adjusted levels and Topaz Adjust.  I used the spicify setting but only used about a 60% opacity to tone down the effect.  We have had a very mild fall here and the foliage colors have been pretty subdued.  Hope you all have a nice weekend!

Camera settings: Fujifilm FinePix S700, F/4.5, 1/210 sec., ISO 64, focal length 22.7 mm.  No flash.
