Pink Tulip

I love this pastel pink tulip that has surprised me by returning this spring!  Processed in Photoshop Elements 6.  I used the lasso tool to choose just the blossom and ran a pale pink gradient on it to punch it up ever so slightly.   Then I ran a layer of Topaz Simplify cartoon (custom setting) and layered it on top with a Screen blending mode at 35% Opacity.   Some slight burning was done and the outline added.  Have a great day!

Camera settings: Canon EOS Rebel T1i, F/8, 1/400 sec., ISO 100, focal length 100 mm.  No flash.

Last Rosebud

Darn it, I wish I could remember the steps I took here.  It was all done in Photoshop Elements 6.  Blending modes and sketch filters gave this result.  I think I am wearing down! :)

Dark Rose

I took more rose photos today.  It rained last night and the roses were nice and fresh!  This one was taken with my zoom lens and cropped tight.  First, I used a high pass filter to sharpen.  Then, I used the Topaz plug-in, Adjust.  This setting is called Dark and I adjusted it to lighten it slightly.  It made it kind of dark and moody.  Hope you are having a nice weekend, everyone!  Processed in Photoshop Elements 6.

Camera settings: Canon Rebel EOS T1i, F/5.6, 1/320 sec., ISO 200,  focal length 250 mm.  No flash.

Secret Rose With Texture

Just out today taking some photos of the last roses of the season.  This rose I decided to process with a bokay texture.  The texture was applied as a layer in Photoshop Elements 6 and I played around with blending modes before coming up with this result.  Hope you all have a great week!

Camera settings: Canon T1i, F/8, 1/1600 sec., ISO 3200, focal length 100 mm.  No flash.

Pink Clown

I loved this shot but it was so busy with background clutter.  I used Topaz ReMask to separate the clown from the background and then lowered the opacity of the background.  I added a pink gradient and a light floral texture to complete the photo.  Processed in Photoshop Elements 6, the photo was treated with Topaz Simplify cartoon adjusted.  I added a fine line to the cartoon and increased the saturation.  Hope you like it!!

Camera settings: Fujifilm FinePix S700, F/5, 1/240 sec., ISO 64, focal length 6.3 mm.  No flash.

Pink

Pink crepe myrtle.  Processed in Photoshop Elements with high pass filter and burned.  Overcast skies today helped with the overall color and exposure.  I went with a higher ISO because it was overcast and a larger aperture to get a more shallow depth of field.

Camera settings: Canon T1i, F/5, 1/1,000 sec., ISO 1600, focal length 100 mm.  No flash.
