Just some fun with brushes and a photo taken with an open shutter and a moving camera! Processed in Photoshop Elements 6.
Camera settings: Canon Rebel EOS T1i, F/11, 4/10 sec., ISO 1600, focal length 41 mm. No flash.

This is a sister photo to one I had taken just before starting this blog. I had fooled around with quickly moving the camera in an arc while taking photos of our Christmas tree lights. Luckily there is a January theme that fits the bill!
On Auto, the settings for this photo are: ISO 1600, F/5.6, 1/8 sec shutter speed. This was fun to do and I loved the colorful outcome. I did very little to this photo other than adjust levels and do a little burning. Do you guys have the same problem that I have? I find that my photos are a little too light after sizing for the web. The lower resolution must do it?! Let me know what you think! Have a great week.

“Arcs” is one of our January themes and seemed really appropriate for taking some moving shots of lights on the Christmas tree.

Holiday tree made by moving camera in a swirl motion as photo is taken. Lights on the tree left a nice visual trail! Brushes added are my own. Font used is Santa’s Sleigh.
