I love the birch trees in the Minnesota woods. This section of birch was taken on Island Lake. I processed in Photoshop Elements by adjusting levels and changing to b/w. I did some burning and added a frame and text. Hi to the Gertzens of Moose Lake, Minnesota!
Camera settings: Olympus Stylus 7010, F/3.0, 1/100 sec., ISO 64, focal length 5 mm. No flash.
The black and white shows off these white birches perfectly! I love those trees too, my parents tried to grow one after a trip to MN but I think it is too hot here in NE for them…it lasted a while, but never looked healthy!
Birch trees are beautiful, aren’t they? Perfect choice for the black and white treatment…
I love the angle and black and white! Well done!!!
I love B+W and this is no exemption, nice shot!
Great image. Perfect for black and white. Great light and the lines are fabulous.
Ditto on the B&W choice. Nice linear elements and the processing really highlights the birch.
My thoughts are the same as all those before me. I like.
The photo is great and really seems that B&W is a good choice. I think, though, that putting the frame and label on just gives it that extra touch of professionalism. Very nice.
