The tulips are so pretty this year. They usually don’t bloom more than two years because it gets so hot here in summer and we don’t get enough winter cold. But for this year, they came up beautifully and it’s hard to not take photos of them! This photo was processed in Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 with unsharp mask and Topaz Simplify buz sim. It was burned a little and framed by OnOne Photo Essentials 4. Happy spring everyone!

Tulips are just starting to bloom here. I processed this in PSE6 with adjusted levels, sharpened and then high pass sharpened again. Topaz Adjust was applied and then a layer of Smart Blur at 50% Opacity was applied over that to soften the grunge look a little. Hope you like it. Have a great weekend.

Went to Woodward Park with the family today. The breeze kept me from getting very good reflections, but the sparkles of light in the late afternoon were worth waiting for. I processed this photo in Photoshop Elements 6 with a levels adjustment, an unsharp mask and Filter/Distort/Diffuse Glow. I then dodged and burned the final photo. Camera settings: f/6.3, 1/400 sec., focal length 21 mm, ISO 64. Taken with my Fujifilm FinePix S700.
I bought and installed Photoshop Elements 10 but I am not sure yet if it was a wise purchase. I have become so comfortable with PSE6. The good price at Costco was too hard to pass up, however! So I will fiddle with it and see how I like it. (I hate getting used to new software!
